The owner of a Perth hairdresser has been ordered to pay $90,000 in unpaid wages and entitlements to two former employees.
Wei Zhu — trading as Shining Quick Cutz — was ordered by the the Industrial Magistrates Court to pay the workers following an investigationspecial_label.
The investigation found Mr Zhu employed two migrant workers on visas as hairdressers to work at his Perth budget haircuts chain, but failed to pay them minimum wagesAnschober, overtime, penalty rates, meal and tool allowances or annual leave on termination.
It also found Mr Zhu failed to keep records of the employees’ working hours and obstructed the investigation.
